Mine is not one. So now it has this on the radio:

Kinja'd!!!

Yup. Once I found the little "CE" I had to do it. I had a '95 Neon that said "NEON" in a fake brushed aluminum looking badge on the passenger side. But other than that, no cars I have personally owned have told you from inside what they were exactly.

Anyone have a car that DOES have a "Dash Badge"?

mine doesn't, but I had a mate who de-badged the rear of his XR6 Turbo and put the badge on his dash.

It was just blue tacked on so I'd remove it every time he drove me somewhere.

The Safari says "Safari SL" where the passenger side airbag would go, if I had one.

Yet the badges on the doors say "Safari XT"

Not a "Badge" persay, but I've always enjoyed the "Mustang" script on the passenger side of most mustangs:

1994 Mustang GT says Mustang in stupid AF 90's font on the passenger air bag plastic.

man, they sure went to a lot of trouble to make the interior symmetrical on a car they didn't export to any Left-hand traffic countries.

I think they were more concerned with going with the whole New Retro thing by copying the first gen Mustang dash.

myeah that makes sense. The first gen was exported to Australia though.. albeit in very small numbers and converted to RHD in Sydney.

There's RS emblems everywhere . Not on the Dash though. On the steering wheel, tachometer, seat bottoms, seat backs, and floor mats though. I have a TURBO badge and Clarkson sticker on my dash

I don't have one now, but I have had them.

My two Caprice sedans had a "Caprice Classic" badge on the passenger side.
My '92 Oldsmobile had "Custom Cruiser" embossed in the leatherette 'glovebox'.
My two Delta 88's had an "Oldsmobile" badge on the glovebox.

My 350Z has big capital "Z"'s all over, sides, back, door sills, steering wheel, and I think maybe somewhere in front of the passengers seat

they were converted by a private company Sydney so it doesn't really count.

On a Ford contract....Just like Kar Kraft built Boss 429s, and they seem to count.

My S4 has a quattro badge on the passenger side, like most AWD Audi's of the late 90s early 2000s.

No SR20 since I have yet to go collect the car from my parents house. That happens this weekend.

That might make a good post, and I could bring the GoPro along.

Crown Vic has it on the wood trim on the passenger side, gold lettering that says Crown Victoria Lx

I almost... ALMOST swapped my P71's dash trim for one out of a cab in the salvage yard I was picking from so I could have fake ugly "wood" and a Crown Victoria script on the side.

I spent SO MANY HOURS as a child looking at the chrome script "Satellite" on the dash of our '71.

not in that the car was designed from the get-go to be converted to RHD.. but after reading into it more, there was substantial work done to the cars in the US before they shipped them over here for Tickford to finish the job.

Despite the dash looking symmetrical in the photos, there's actually more width on the driver side than the passenger side.. so everything from the floorpan up had to be mirrored and the transmission and drivetrain had to be offset to the other side.

so I take back previous assertions that it was a private company.. it was pretty much Ford.

Yep, most (if not all) of the parts used were manufactured in the USA and carry OE numbers. Kind of a weird side thing that happened. For a brief time they wanted to make a sales push and import them, but just not room in the market there I guess. You're exactly right that they aren't really symmetrical like people think they are, funny because most cars are obviously not whereas this one looks like it was built to be.

it took me 5 years to realise my MR2 had more room on the drivers side.. I finally let someone else drive it.

That's a good link with a quick rundown of the majority of changes. Mustangs have never had the heritage down here, and it was up against a thoroughly good Monaro with a 5.7L
